What happens when a simple revelation about voting for Trump propels you into the viral spotlight with 2.6 million views on TikTok? We walked through this unexpected journey, not as a political statement but as an expression of faith and values that resonate deeply with our spiritual beliefs. Our story is not about choosing sides in the political arena but about making informed choices amidst the loud and often overwhelming noise of today’s media landscape. Join us in reflecting on how this experience has strengthened our commitment to fostering deeper connections with God, others, and ourselves.

Exploring the complex intersection of political convictions and faith, we discuss the challenges and backlash faced for supporting Trump, particularly due to his acknowledgment of a higher power. With the metaphor "the loudest boos come from the cheapest seats," we highlight the importance of having a strong foundation and staying true to one's beliefs amid criticism. Individual experiences shape our perspectives, with contrasting views on something as simple as a full moon serving as a reminder of our unique pasts. We invite you to consider how your own values and experiences shape your decisions, encouraging a deeper understanding of diverse interpretations.

Focusing on unity within personal beliefs and faith, we draw upon the wisdom of Romans 14, advocating for acceptance of differing beliefs within Christianity. Our viral moment underscores the importance of standing firm in one's convictions while prioritizing personal growth and harmony within the church community. Led by the Holy Spirit, we navigate cultural distractions, inviting others on a journey of spiritual growth and connection. Embrace this opportunity to deepen your relationship with God and those around you, as we continue to share our story and engage with you across social platforms.

Speaker 1:

It makes the world go around guys, let's celebrate with us.

Speaker 2:

We are new to the viral world. Like we got a chance to experience wow, crazy. Here's why we went viral. We went viral because we put it out there that we voted for trump it's why. It's why we voted for trump and I know a lot of people jump on here already thinking, processing, what that looks like and what that feels like.

Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh, wait but don't click off until you hear our thoughts. So don't get crazy y'all, because it is. It's not MAGA city over here, like hold your horses, because I feel like as soon as we say we voted Trump. They're like click.

Speaker 2:

We're not MAGA heads or some people are like, oh, oh, he must be. Uh, you know what? I'm not gonna don't go there.

Speaker 1:

I'm not gonna go to the waist like like to the race card yet please don't some people, it's gonna come up, but don't go there yet we went viral because we went on tiktok and we said that we voted and we voted for trump.

Speaker 2:

We're gonna tell you guys why we voted for trump. This is not a a political conversation. We're not gonna talk.

Speaker 2:

We're not going to talk about politics. We are not going to talk about politics. We're going to share with you our perspective and how we live in our household and how we're able to navigate through all the noise of this world with social media and big time media and all the stuff that people try to tell you, and sometimes you hear something and then months later you find out it was a lie. Right, it's just a bunch of crap, but viral is big for us. That's crazy. 2.6 million.

Speaker 1:

Can I just say, ladies, can y'all just empathize with me a little bit that I went viral with no makeup on and no eyelashes on. I was going to the gym. We had no plan to record this moment.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you were going to vote and I was like wait, wait, wait, don't go vote without me, like let's go vote. And then we're both sitting there, like in a little voting booth station, I'm talking to Danny Lee asking her questions.

Speaker 1:

I'm like you're not supposed to talk to me. I'm like, hey, what?

Speaker 2:

are you supposed to put for Prop 30? And what about Prop 32? Like, what do we put in here? She's like shh, stop talking to me. And then she and I'm like I'm going to take a whole picture of me voting for Trump.

Speaker 1:

I'm like you're not supposed to take a picture in there.

Speaker 2:

I got a picture, I posted it too, on. Instagram If you guys aren't following us on all the platforms. On TikTok TikTok is cool, right. We just got literally 13,000 followers on TikTok in like three days, which is crazy, 2.6 million views on that video alone, which is wild. But Instagram hit us up. You guys already know there's all the links everywhere. You guys already know we got the shop. We got the hat. I'm actually rocking the hat right now, if you guys don't even.

Speaker 1:

Oh, the new hat hey that's the let's Dig crew.

Speaker 2:

You already know why we are here. We are here to help you grow a deeper relationship with God, others and yourself. Hit that like button. Hit that heart button too, okay so let's talk about it let's dig, let's dig.

Speaker 1:

So we literally did not have a conversation about what that morning was going to look like. It was kind of like the normal schedule I had things to do, you had things to do, we were going about our business yeah I'm sitting at the library about to vote and you call me and you're like wait, you're voting without me.

Speaker 1:

And I was like, yeah, because I have to go vote me. And I was like, yeah, because I have to go vote. And then I have to go to the gym and I have to go wash my hair because I had an appointment and then I had to work. And you were like, well, we didn't talk about it, but I'm coming, and so I had to wait for you. So, anyways, I wait for you. 10 minutes, 15 minutes.

Speaker 1:

You get there, we record a video and in just so those of you who have not seen it know we basically said we are voting for Trump and not because we really, really like him. We actually were voting him, even though like we weren't for him or like we're not like. That's why I said we're not MAGA country over here, but we voted for him because he at least acknowledges who our savior is and who we serve, and that there's another candidate that literally said, oh, you're at the wrong rally there and and even now, right, people are 13 000 comments on this tiktok clip, 14 000 saves, 22 000 reshares and like so many people got stuff to say.

Speaker 2:

Some people are just like he's the furthest from God. Other person is like oh, one person was like Kamala goes to my church, right, like okay, right, what, what role does she sit in? How much does she give to please? But it's like everybody got something to say, everyone has a comment. And one guy on instagram he voted for trump, but he was like I want to know what policies of trump you liked and what policies of kamali dinner like. And everyone's arguing with this guy on our instagram not us, but everybody else is coming up.

Speaker 2:

He finally goes out and say relax everyone. I voted for trump. And I'm like bro you voted for trump and you literally just over here trying to argue in the pot look at the end of the day. Look we, we, we we're not sitting here saying that Trump is a Christian. I don't know his personal life. I'm not even here saying that Trump is a full follower of Christ, right.

Speaker 1:

Which people were going ham in the comments of like he's the furthest from God. Right, we never said he has a personal relationship with Jesus, but the people around him like a like a pastor that we are very fond of, Pastor Jensen Franklin. Him like a like a pastor that we are very fond of, pastor Jensen Franklin, he's literally right next to him all the time praying for him.

Speaker 2:

I like how one person was like he's a criminal. I'm like so was the criminal on the cross next to Jesus when he was crucified? Like, relax everybody, here's what it is for us. There are some things that goes against our values, our personal moral things, like when it comes to being pro-life. There are certain things when it comes to genders, right. When it comes to, you know, privacy of the household with our kids.

Speaker 1:

Right, like in government and the schools and the school system right.

Speaker 2:

And if my son decides to say he wants to be a girl, and the school's out there saying, like, don't tell your parents. Like you know, there are just certain things where someone say, well, if you vote for trump, you're a racist. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. So you're telling me I should vote for kamala because she's not a a racist. You're sitting here telling me if I vote for her, will racism go away. It will not ever go away. Racism will never go away. It is what it is. It's just for me. I'm just looking at our country right now and the state that is in. I'm just like I believe that Trump is the best person that's needed right now for this country.

Speaker 1:

But this ain't about politics. Also, just to throw it in real quick because everyone's like, oh, trump hates women. Yeah, we said we're not going to talk about politics, we're still talking about it. But everybody said Trump hates women and he just put the first woman to be chief of staff in the White House. Yeah, that's huge. Like all the feminists which I'm not a feminist, but all the feminists are like he's a womanizer, he's a hater, he did do some gross stuff and I'm not negating any of the things that women have accused him of and it's probably true and like that's terrible and I would never like minimize that. But, bro, that's a huge thing for a woman to be a chief of staff in the White House, that's a big deal.

Speaker 2:

And you know we said in this post that went viral that we're personally not fans of Trump. You know, once in a while I like him, and here's why. Here's why I like Trump because he is honest and he's real and it gets him in trouble, but he's honest. He's not hiding anything. All the other politics I don't trust people who always got something to hide, like you know, he's honest and I'm like, okay, well, okay, he did some crazy stuff. I'm not sitting here saying that I support all the crazy stuff that he did. I'm not saying any of that. What I'm saying is let the first without sin cast the first stone, right this any of that.

Speaker 2:

What I'm saying is let the first, without sin, cast the first stone. This is Jesus. Jesus said that right, people came and tried to accuse this woman, that this woman was caught doing this, she was caught doing this, she was caught doing all this. And Jesus basically saying okay, I hear you, and the law says we should treat this person this way. And Jesus saying let the first person who's never did anything right and then this is me paraphrasing anything like this woman throw the first stone. So all the people that are saying all this stuff, talking trash about him and just like he's this, I'm like, at the end of the day, man like God, has appointed him to be the leader of this country, right, and we got to respect him. And instead of coming against him, we should be praying for Trump. He's our president. Instead of coming against him, we should be praying for Trump.

Speaker 1:

He's our president. I do want to say I wish that Christians who did vote for Trump were leading up to the election, and then how much tension comes up afterwards, like I had one client in my chair um at the salon and she was saying that she was very disappointed and that she was heartbroken and that she had more hopes probably more than should be have been put on an election, to be honest. But she did have a lot of hopes for a woman president and I literally all I could say was I hear you, I hear you and it does like. That is disappointing, that is sad and I just I hate that.

Speaker 1:

There is no reason why relationships, friendships, should ever be impacted by politics. And even vice president Vance he said that he was like you know, please don't ruin relationships over politics that change every four years. There's no reason for it. You I actually love the some of the comments that thought that you were only voting for Trump because you're married to a white woman, and I was like the irony is we've had years where we voted differently. It's crazy. It's crazy.

Speaker 2:

So many people got comments. I put a comment on someone's Instagram the other day. Carl Lentz was talking about something and he was just saying how everybody everybody has something to say. He was just saying how everybody has something to say and I quoted something that one of my old mentors used to say that the loudest boos come from the cheapest seats in the house. Basically saying, if you go to a game, right, the people who are probably talking the most trash are the ones who probably paid the least for their ticket. They're up in the nosebleed, they're talking trash and they even talk trash about their team. But if you look at those that have courtside and the nosebleed, they're talking trash and they even talk trash about their team.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but if you look at those that have courtside, those that are on the field, those that are invested, even if their team lost, they're still clapping them on A good game. They're still cheering on a good game, lebron you killed it yeah. Right, because they're invested and like for us through decision-making, with so much noise in this world. It's crazy.

Speaker 2:

Everyone has, especially with relativism and individualism, where everyone has their own truth and what they believe to be right for them. Eat that. And people jumping in your DMs and your comments and saying all this stuff bro, thousands and thousands of comments that we got just because we said we voted for Trump because he acknowledges who our king is. He acknowledges that there is a king above all kings. There are kings all over this world, right, presidents, they're kings of of this country, right, right. But when there's a president that acknowledges that there's a King even greater than him, to me that tells me there is some sense of conviction.

Speaker 1:

There was some sense of of greater respect and reverence.

Speaker 2:

Right, and so to me, that was just important to me, that was just valuable to me, and especially when a pastor, like, has access to a president to be able to lay hands on him and say, can we pray for you? And he accepts it, he's with it, he likes it, he has pastors that are on his council, on his board, like to me, I'm like, okay, I like that, you know, but at the end of the day, we made a decision. We made a decision. It's going to change in four years. But the fact that so many people have stuff to say, like I really just want to encourage people out there that are listening to this, like you really have to determine your foundation and discover how deep your roots are, because if your roots aren't deep, like you'll be like jesus said it, or the bible said, I think paul was talking about, you'll be like a ship without a sail. Yeah, wherever the wind blows, you'll go left and right. Like could you imagine if we're reading through these comments?

Speaker 2:

I mean some people, one person was even coming for our marriage, bro, they're talking about like demon talking about you're a demon on my shoulder, yep I'm what one person was saying like oh wait till your.

Speaker 1:

Your marriage is no longer legal right, wait till they outlaw your marriage, bro what is you talking about?

Speaker 2:

and I know that's not english for the people that are going to come from me, so that's not English. One person jumped at our comments the other day Cause I said, hey, if you want to go deep in your relationships, learn to ask better questions. Someone was like it's not ax with an AX, it's ask. And I'm like, okay, did you still take the advice?

Speaker 1:

Actually your your best question, rebuttal was and how many languages do you speak? And they didn't respond.

Speaker 2:

They never responded. I'm like, okay, english was not my first language, but when people live in small bubbles, small boxes, where their world is only from the end of the highway to the other end of the highway which it's a two mile highway then they just realize that they think people, everyone speaks English and they have small worlds. And so for us, we decided to say, man, like we really need to determine, like, what's our foundation? What do we believe? What are some things that are non-negotiables? Non-negotiables Is Trump great? Is he the best person? I don't know, I don't know him personally, and there's some stuff that he may never change, never affect, but there's certain things that in my heart, I feel, in my conscious, I could not sleep with if I voted for Kamala.

Speaker 1:

And I think that is the pivotal moment for Christians and non-Christians, but specifically for Christians who live a life following Jesus, following the Bible that there are some things in the Bible that are verbatim.

Speaker 1:

And there are some things in the Bible that are verbatim and there are some things in the Bible that are not. And we were having this conversation about how, for some people, it may seem right and for some people it may seem wrong. So like, for instance, when it was a full moon one night, me and you and the kids were all like, oh my gosh, look how beautiful this moon is. This moon is so beautiful Like God's creation, like it's so cool what he made, flip, you know. 24 hours later, we were at church and I was speaking with a young lady and she said, oh, I saw that moon and I started praying and rebuking because she had been involved in witchcraft before she came to the Lord and her perspective on both of them.

Speaker 1:

It was just so interesting to see that how your life influences your viewpoint is how you approach things. So when it comes to politics, when it comes to decision-making, when it comes to life decisions, your experience of life will influence it. If there's not, like the Bible doesn't tell you how to look at the moon. Yeah, so both were right. Our family was right in how we looked at the moon, that lady was right and how she looked at the moon to pray in spiritual warfare because of what she'd experienced. And I feel like with politics that's where it gets really, really messy of I talked to yesterday. I have a friend and she is from El Salvador.

Speaker 1:

I spoke with her and we talked about her viewpoints. Her viewpoint is obviously going to be different than mine from the cornfields of Indiana and I was very interested in hearing like wait, can you explain to me why that matters to you so much? Can you explain to me how that impacts you? Can you explain to me how that impacts your family or your parents? I learned so much just by asking questions and learning. But a lot of times in the body of Christ, in church, we think if you're not on my side, then we're not right, You're wrong and you're going to hell. And some of the things, some of the topics. That is not true.

Speaker 2:

Yep, and ultimately, the Bible tells us to respect and honor those that have been placed in authority period, right period, whether you agree with their decisions, they will have an account with God. They will have to answer to God. I was reading in Romans 14. I think we should talk about Romans 14 in a little bit, because Paul talks about that criticizing those in the faith about decisions, about certain things like whether it's better to live for God or die for God, whether you should eat meat or vegetables, which one is greater. It's little things that are happening in the church, where people literally just don't know their foundation.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 2:

They don't know what they believe fully, or they quote someone else and they don't go and do their own research and find out, or they see like, ok, what does the Bible have to say about this? We were talking about this other day and you were asking me, like, what are some things that you can do to further be able to, like, counsel people? Yeah, right, and I said first thing, read your bible more. Yeah, because every answer that we need is actually in the bible. Because you said earlier, the bible doesn't teach us how to look at the moon. Well, it does. Just in the beginning it said God created it. Well, that's true, and everything that he created was good.

Speaker 2:

But we live in a fallen world where satan takes things that were good, that was good, he manipulates it. He's a counterfeit right and tries to make it seem like it's good but still evil. First corinthians 13. We read about that in our last conversation, about those that have a weaker conscious that if they think something was, was, um, committed or sacrificed to a false idol right, then in their conscience they can't partake in it because they believe that that idol is real. And Paul is saying in Corinthians that we all know that it's not real, but for us to have superior knowledge of God. We know that it's fake and so I might be able to do something and I know that man, that idol, it's not real, it's dead, but there are demons behind it, right, right, so you still need to think and decide for yourself.

Speaker 2:

That's what paul is talking about, and I think just christians are so immature just reading today in hebrews, where he's talking about how, like, like man, christians are still. How long you've been saved, how long you've been believing and you're still on meat. We are still on milk. Yeah, we can't even go into deeper things. We can't even go into meat because, like, people don't even know what they're talking about. Some dude wrote on our on on our post, and he's because we said that, look, god has placed trump in authority, right? Somebody was like, okay, did god place satan over hell?

Speaker 1:

and I I'm like yes, Literally, I was like that's verbatim.

Speaker 2:

I'm like yo, bro. I can't even talk to you right now because you're biblically illiterate.

Speaker 1:

You don't know the very basis of the knowledge of how Lucifer got to become Satan.

Speaker 2:

Bro, the dude was trying to be slick. He's like okay, did God put Satan over hell? Yeah, buddy, he did. And with a, read your bible. And when you read your bible, come back and talk to me. That's so crazy and so there's people that I was responding back to them with scripture, so many of us responding to them scripture. Some people weren't even jumping in our comments because they wanted to understand, they just literally wanted to debate and the bible talks about that.

Speaker 2:

No, we're not going to be. We're not going to partake in foolish conversation, arguments, right Debates, because we're not even, you're not even trying to find the truth Like, you don't even want to know what's true, you just want to be right, right.

Speaker 1:

I think you're right, though in the sense of a lot of people, a lot of Christians I should say sorry, a lot of Christians do not know how to read their Bible to comprehension and to understand. You literally said that we had that conversation of I was saying, like you know, I just want to know more things, to tell more people Like I have women and young ladies and girls calling me, asking me questions, and sometimes I know the answer, sometimes I have the idea, but I don't have the scripture and like it can like it can feel very overwhelming and it can feel like I'm incompetent. And you told me you're like you just need to read your Bible more. That week I was reading um.

Speaker 1:

I got a phone call at like eight, 30 at night, um, from a friend. She was asking me a question of they accidentally bought something that had like astrology patterns on it for their baby, and it was by accident, wasn't on purpose, and she was asking me what's my opinion about them? And I, long story short, I said, like those, those patterns don't have any power over my child. Like I stand covered in the blood of Jesus for me and my family. And um, but when I got off the phone. I told you I was like man. I know it's there, I just don't know what it is.

Speaker 2:

You were like read yeah, Cause you said you felt so passionate about it. You just didn't have words.

Speaker 1:

I didn't have words. The next morning I'm reading in Hebrews and it said and to you I have given all authority over all things. And I sent that scripture right away. And I was like there it is. That was the scripture I was looking for last night. I didn't know I was looking for it, but that was the Bible, cause everything that we walk out, everything that we make a decision for life, it is founded in the word of God. It is our anchor. Because this world changes so much society and culture, they'll tell you one thing one way, like there's churches that will tell me women can't wear pants. But if I go back to the word of God, I can find a scripture that says that that is not going to send me to hell and make me less anointed. Like every decision that we make, it can be founded in the word of God, no matter how culture changes and what they tell us.

Speaker 2:

Yep. So Romans, chapter 14,. Accept other believers who are weak in faith and don't argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. For instance, one person believes it's all right, so good. Those who don't eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.

Speaker 1:

So good.

Speaker 2:

Who are you to condemn someone else's servant Right? Because I don't serve you, I serve the Lord. But through serving the Lord I serve you. That's what it is. But God, he's our master Right, so he's ultimately who we serve. He says here. He says their own master will judge whether they stand or fall and with the Lord's help, they will stand and receive his approval. In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable, bro. So if you think one day is holy, other one thinks that every day is holy. Both y'all right with the Lord. But the Lord would determine whether you stand or fall.

Speaker 2:

Those who worship the Lord on a special day do it to honor him. Those who eat any kind of food do do so to honor the Lord, since they give thanks to God before eating. And those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please. The Lord will give thanks to God, for we don't live for ourselves or die for ourselves. If we live, it's an honor to the Lord, and if we die, it's an honor to the Lord. So whether we live or die. We belong to the Lord. Down in verse 12, it says yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. So let's stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble or fall. So we are responsible for tripping other people up. I don't know if you guys noticed, but every single time we record, we pray that God gives us words. We pray for the Holy Spirit to convince to to um, I'm so hungry right now I haven't eaten. We pray that the Holy Spirit will will convict us.

Speaker 2:

I was like pray, the Holy Spirit will convince us. Pray that the Holy Spirit will convict us that every single word that comes out of our mouth will be fruitful and bring value to people. We've said this from the first time. We launched, relaunched this podcast that we did not do this to go viral. We do this to give value period.

Speaker 1:

And we said that before we went viral.

Speaker 2:

We said that before we went viral, which is wild. So it says I know and I'm convinced on the authority of the Lord Jesus that no food in and of itself is wrong to eat. But if someone believes it is wrong, then for that person it is wrong Crazy. So if you feel in your heart, between you and God, that you're doing something that's wrong, I'm here to tell you it's wrong. But it's not your job to try to condemn me or vice versa, because we're not following your own personal convictions. Christians literally need to grow up, it says. And if another believer is distressed by what you eat, you are not acting in love. If you eat it, don't let your eating ruin someone for whom Christ died for. So verse 19 says so. Then let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.

Speaker 2:

It breaks my heart that so many people were coming for us on TikTok so many. So many of them were church people, but I will say I'd say 90% of them were all for it. I think most people were for it because we stood up and we actually said something. Too many people are cowards and they don't want to talk about it. They actually talk about it privately, but someone is counting on you to talk about it publicly and I think that's why we went TikTok. I think that's why we went viral on TikTok and also TikTok and algorithms. Tiktok's probably trying to stir something up Say like let's let this black guy and this white girl, go talk about Trump.

Speaker 2:

And everyone loved the 2.6 million views. That's what I think you know, but you know me I like my little conspiracies. What I'm saying is, ultimately, people just need to decide for themselves what's right between them and God. But you cannot determine your truth. You need to sit down with the Lord, you need to seek the Holy Spirit. That the Holy Spirit will reveal to you the truth and let that be your foundation. We are living in fallen times right now. Man and you got to determine what's right from wrong and you can't not be shaken.

Speaker 1:

I love the way that that verse ended up and let the church strive for harmony. I have been in church my whole life and I have seen so many people that, in the name of holiness and righteousness, they condemn other people, and it breaks my heart. And it's literally what that whole chapter was talking about of if God has called you to something, that does not mean it is your job to go and call somebody else out because they're not living up to the standard that God actually called you to live up to.

Speaker 2:

Pray for them and ask that the Lord that they serve will reveal himself to them.

Speaker 1:

And it's the Holy Spirit's job to convict, not yours. You are there to lift, you are there to encourage, you are there to pray for them and to be a place that if she, if that person were to start convicting or asking questions, then you can more than happy answer and show what God has revealed to you. But man is like and let the church strive in harmony, like I would love to see that be done so much more in church communities and families.

Speaker 2:

So we're going to start here. Man, love you guys. You guys already know why we're here. We're here to help you grow a deeper relationship with God, others and yourself. This is how we navigate making decisions through a noisy world, a noisy culture. We live by the Holy Spirit and we are led by the Holy Spirit. If you don't know who Jesus is, I want to give you an invitation right now. Accept it to your life. Just say Jesus thank you for coming for me, thank you for dying for me. I know that I'm a sinner and I know I can't save myself. That's why you're here. I ask for you to come into my heart. Send the Holy Spirit to me to manifest in me. We pray for good fruits right now. Moving forward, we will completely commit our lives to you. Love you guys, appreciate you guys.
